Taking your first flight can seem daunting, I know, to this day I am still not a fan of flying but hey, it get’s me where I need to go. There are so many new experiences and potential pitfalls that you need to navigate while taking your first flight. The good news? There’s a way to make it easier. Each airline has specific guidelines as to the size of what you can take as well as the weight if you exceed the weight you may incur additional costs that you didn’t plan for. Kind of related to the first one, in taking your first flight it is ideal to know the baggage fees as they usually differ between airlines. I took a trip before where I went to like 4 states and had like a day layover in about 3 of these states and I loved it I stopped and spent time with loved ones, explored states had never been to before it was great! I hate any flight that goes past 4 hours lol. Also once the airport isn’t crowded I don’t mind the wait, I just explore and eat food meanwhile lol. What can I say, I’m a weirdo. Those are some additional flying tips. Of course with kids now that’s a whole different experience lol.

This is a method I have used for years, roll and stuff, so I roll the clothes and put them in shoes, I roll them to make them smaller. Trust me, it helps. 9. Arrive Early at the Airport
To minimize stress and ensure a smooth check-in process, arrive at the airport well in advance of the time you are scheduled to leave. Plan to arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights. Y’all I get there early as hell because I missed a flight before…mind you I believe we were on time, it was the airline being crappy because about 50 people were ‘late’ and missed that flight. Wear easily removable shoes and consider using a travel belt with no metal parts to expedite the screening process. I usually recommend that you just dress simple without anything that may cause additional hold up. Just remember no metal.

Dress comfortably for your first time flying and for every time after that. Try wearing loose-fitting, breathable clothing and comfortable footwear. Layering is advisable, as temperatures on planes can fluctuate. Pack a lightweight scarf or jacket in case it gets chilly during the flight. Neck pillows, eye masks, and noise-canceling headphones can also enhance your comfort onboard. Wear and pack things that will make your flight super comfortable.
12. Understand Air Pressure Changes
Air pressure usually changes during take-off and landing and this can cause discomfort in your ears. To alleviate this, chew gum, yawn, or pinch your nose and gently blow.
