QUARANTINE AND PRODUCTIVITY DURING A PANDEMIC

Quarantine and productivity

So many persons are frustrated with being indoors, or just not sure what to do. Instead of just ‘quarantine and chilling’ why not do something productive in the time you have. All the things you didn’t have the time to do at home because you were so busy, NOW is the time to do it! Remember to subscribe at the bottom of the homepage and become a member to keep up to date and to be eligible for prizes and surprises!

✔ Practice Self-Discipline

Self-Discipline is something I know that many people struggle with, myself included. Well since you are home and have the time to start working on that. Build some sort of structure or daily routine while at home and try your best to stick at it. You can use your phone to set reminders to ensure you get different tasks done within a timely manner. Also at this time the fridge is in a very vulnerable state lol have some discipline with what you eat. Not because you are home means you should eat all day. Though the supermarkets are open you shouldn’t be going there daily because there is nowhere else to go.

In other words, just ensure you have a daily schedule. It helps you to stay focused and helps you to prioritize your tasks. A good idea would be to use a planner or a scheduling app, whichever works for you. For me I love a good old planner for my quarantine and productivity methods during the pandemic.

✔ Spend time with Family

Sad to say sometimes family time and focus get lost because people tend to be busy and working. Use the time to build closer bonds with your family members. Find activities in the home to do together, play games, watch movies. DIY activities or even practice your green thumb (gardening) together.

✔ Exercise

Being at home persons can get lost in the fact that the food is there more readily available. Due to the fact that you are home during the pandemic it is quite easy to just let yourself go. Take the time to consider your health and the benefits that exercise may have on you. Take a few minutes each day and pack in a little workout routine.

✔ Go over your Budget

Budgeting is very important, but funny enough based on conversations with some persons they say they are bad at it, they don’t do it at all or they spend more than they make and wonder how is that even possible. This is the perfect time to pause and take a proper look at your income and expenses and put together a more effective budget.

✔ Online Courses and Self-Improvement

There are many things you would have loved to do but never had the time. Now is the time to do that online course you have wanted to do for years now, work on yourself, grow yourself. Self-improvement is amazing and helps you to look at things from different perspectives, The more you work on yourself the more you will see changes.

✔ Read

Reading, reading, reading…I can’t stress this enough. Even outside of being stuck indoors I really think this is a very important thing to do. Remember ‘Readers are Leaders.’ It is good to always learn more and grow through reading. Here are some books I recommend.

✔ Reflect/Meditate

Some people find it hard to do these things during a pandemic because again, they are always busy and on the go. This really helps you to learn to take a break and be in the now.

.
✔ Cook

If you love cooking as much as I do, now is the time to try some new recipes, do something different. If you don’t like cooking that much, or you are not so good at it. Then now is the time to consider improving those skills. Tasty and Twisted have some very simple foods that you can try making. Feel free to comment on other great cooking sites.

✔ Rest

This is something vital. Take the time to rest up, get all the rest you missed out on while you were busy. I know some people may say it doesn’t sound very productive but it is, it really is important for your health.

✔ Build Relationships and Check-In

Even though you are at home don’t forget your friends and loved ones outside of your home, call them, check-in, make sure everyone is doing well through all that is happening.

✔ Work on a passion project

There must be something you love or something you are super passionate about. Take the time and do it. Maybe its a DIY(Do it Yourself) project you have wanted to do for a long time now. Take the time and work on that.

✔ Don’t get too caught up in Social Media.

Social media is great it is amazing, however, you don’t want to get so caught up in it that you forget that you have a life, yes check in on and friends and family, check what you have to but then after that put it away for a bit. Do not get addicted you want to have both quarantine and productivity going hand in hand.
