BAMBOO BEACH CLUB

Table of Contents

So when I heard the name Bamboo Beach Club, I was excited to go… why you may ask?…because, everyone knows Monifa loves a good beach. Turns out it is a great beach spot for persons looking to just chill and relax in an environment that is not too crowded with good food and entertainment being provided. I went on a Sunday and it was not too full. Also, this happened since places have just started to open up following COVID so there were also protocols in place for that.

COVID PROTOCOL

On entering you need to have on your mask, and added to that of course your temperature is checked. The temperature part can be tricky because it is outside and the sun is already hot lol. The mask is required for entrance and you are encouraged to have it on while on the beach. The staff was also neatly clad in their outfits which had the name of the beach on it along with their masks.

ENTRANCE FEE
Bamboo Beach Club

Upon arriving it was $1000JMD to enter. This $1000 covers you getting a beach lounge chair for yourself, you also get a menu and a hostess that is assigned to you or your group. Honestly, I like the idea of that because I don’t usually like going to the beach, then not being able to find anywhere to relax, especially out of the sun. Another thing to note is that you are not allowed to take food inside.

STAFF

The staff there was friendly and provided good customer service. They even go as far as to take your order to you by the water.

FOOD

I went there with a small group, I was only there for a few hours so I didn’t get any food. I did ask them to tell me about it though and they said it was good. The only concern was that it was maybe a bit too pricey for the quantity that they received.

I sort of figured that out, (You know when you get a menu and it doesn’t have on the prices) it’s like you can almost guess that the prices would be a little more than usual. So just a spoiler from now, if you plan to visit ensure you have a full wallet as it is definitely tourist prices. It is definitely for tourists or an uptown crowd but it really is a great place to just relax.

ENTERTAINMENT

Now, I can say I was more excited about this. The fact that they provide entertainment I think is beyond ideal. It doesn’t happen right around the clock. I saw a little, which you can see in the video below. Based on some additional research they open up until 10 pm so sometimes they even do bonfires. I would love to go back there so I can experience that.

As a group though it’s great if you can carry or have your additional form of entertainment such as cards, dominoes, etc. Also, they have water sports if you are interested in that. You can pay and enjoy those additional activities.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

I can safely say that I would give here a rating of about 8 or 9 the only issue for me would have been the costing but other than that it was good and the beach was lovely. I would love to return there for the bonfire and of course, write some more about that. Once I do that this post will be updated. For now, this is where it is and I suggest you guys check it out.

I also created a YouTube Video about Bamboo Beach Club you can watch it here.

I strongly believe that Bamboo Beach Club is a great spot to just go chill and relax when you have some time off from work and a well-needed break.
