V.O.D.A LOUNGE PORTMORE
Please note this was my experience at V.O.D.A Lounge and everyone may have different experiences, but for me, it was a good one so this is my detailed review of the restaurant. Feel free to share your experience in the comments box below.
1. THE AMBIANCE
As you enter the restaurant, it was not really what I expected, to be honest, especially walking in when it was still pretty bright outside. However, they do have blackouts and the furniture is also dark so it was pretty dark with all colors of lights dancing to the beats, can you understand why my child was dancing the whole time. I loved the feeling and ambiance that it gives. I also feel like it has the right vibe for any crowd, just depends on the day and time you choose to visit.
2. V.O.D.A LOUNGE MENU AND OPENING HOURS
You can access the V.O.D.A Lounge Menu here. Their opening hours are Monday – Thursday 4:30PM -11:00PM & Friday – Sunday 4:30PM – 12:00AM
Let’s start with the appetizer I had. Now, this is only for my pork lovers of course, but this nice Jamaican restaurant put a nice twist on the regular good old pigtail. This is Mango BBQ Pigtail, this was perfect, it had just the right spice and the flavors were heavenly. I could have had this alone and I would have been at peace. It was so rich in flavor.
This seafood medley from V.O.D.A Lounge as photographed below was really delicious. I took curry but they do have other flavors. The day I went they didn’t have crayfish but to be honest if the waitress hadn’t said it to me I probably would not have realized. The mashed potato… was so soft and creamy. I plan to visit again and try another flavor and you wouldn’t believe but the price wasn’t bad, quite affordable for all my seafood lovers!
Then the star of my show, my little miss got fries and BBQ wings, this too I must say went down very well. However, due to the setting, my little miss was dancing more than eating lol. We both got some lemonade to quench our thirst which was maybe the only thing that caught me a bit off guard as it was really sweet, I had to add some water to it. Other than that everything was great.
NB: People asked, was is it okay to bring your child there, heck yes! She had a blast, what I do suggest though is if you are going with a child to go early as they open so by the time the real crowd is coming in you are out the door. That is if you are afraid of crowds like I am. The music was appropriate and she had a blast!
3. COSTING
I would classify V.O.D.A Lounge as affordable. ($$)

5. THE STAFF
The hostess and waitress were very nice, I had absolutely no issues with them, they were kind and friendly. One of them even looked out and made sure little miss was ok throughout the evening. I really have no complaints here, as, for the food delivery time, that too was not so bad, although considering I knew what I ordered would have taken a bit of time it was completed with good timing. SO yes, all in all, I would recommend V.O.D.A Lounge. I want you to visit and come by Instagram and share your experience with me.
