Now where do I even begin, Savannah, Georgia, with its historic architecture, moss-draped oak trees, and charming cobblestone streets, is a city covered in Southern charm and coastal beauty. 1.Visit Tybee Island: Take a day trip out of the city to Tybee Island which is just a couple miles away and enjoy the beaches and amazing food that you can find in the area. They have different activities and it is a lovely beach town.

2. Explore Historic Savannah: Take a step back in time and go through the historic district of Savannah. Take a guided tour or stroll at your own pace to admire the stunning architecture, and when I say stunning, I mean stunning which includes places like the iconic squares, yep I still haven’t been to all there are 22 squares just in Savannah, historic homes, and churches that really highlight and show the character of the city.

3. Visit Forsyth Park: Forsyth Park is another great spot to explore, in the summer it’s of course a lot hotter but you can find a fun shady spot and have fun with family and friends or just relax and read a book. The beauty about Forsyth Park is that it has many things you can do. Check out this YouTube video on 11 Things to do in Forsyth Park. Also you cannot visit Forsyth Park and not embrace the fountain. So make sure this is on your Savannah Bucket List.

4. Take a Riverboat Cruise: Take a lovely adventure on a scenic riverboat cruise along the Savannah River. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city skyline, and learn about Savannah’s rich history from onboard narrators, and experience the beauty of the river especially at sunset. They have different cruises and different times of the year and for different occasions, you definitely want to experience that.

5. Tour Bonaventure Cemetery: If you didn’t know Savannah is known as a scary city a lot of it’s history is about ghosts and gravestones, so you can’t visit Savannah and not go to Bonaventure Cemetery and not just the scary history behind it but it is a lovely place to see the beauty of the beautiful moss filled oak trees. It is also popular for the movie and novel titled ”Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. You want to take a fully guided tour to learn about the history and stories behind the tombstones.

Grab Some Southern Cuisine: On your Savannah Georgia Bucket List you must and I mean must have is of course some well known Southern cuisine, things such as some of the usual classic dishes such as shrimp and grits, fried chicken and collard greens, and a lot more innovative creations. You get the true southern hospitality.

8. Discover Savannah’s Ghosts: As I mentioned earlier, Savannah is known for it’s ghost history so of course they have ghost tours, quite interesting and unique ones at that. I remember seeing a group drinking in a hearse at night taking the hearse ghost tours. So hop on and hear chilling tales of the city’s past, including stories of restless spirits and haunted houses, for an extremely spine-tingling evening adventure.

9. Shop on Broughton Street: For all my peeps who love boutique shopping then you definitely want to take a stroll along Broughton Street, see art galleries, antique stores and a lot more. It is your spot to get a great souvenir to remember your Savannah Summer Adventure so make sure you add this to your Savannah Georgia Bucket List.

10. Take a Savannah Riverwalk: Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Savannah Riverwalk. Admire the views of the river and the historic buildings that line the waterfront, and stop for a bite to eat at one of the many riverside restaurants.

Or just attend a concert as so many tend to happen featuring a variety of musical genres, from classical to jazz to world music, and just immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant music scene.
