NOISY RIVER JAMAICA!
Have you ever been to Noisy River Jamaica? I can’t say it is a hidden gem, or maybe I can because it is quite a bit of a journey to get there, but when you do it’s definitely in plain sight. Most people find it a bit hard to believe but Noisy River can be found in the cool wonderful parish of Manchester in an area called Oxford.
This hidden gem is a great chill spot, I traveled from OMG Restaurant and Coffee Bar in Manchester to Noisy River which took approximately 50 minutes, it could be shorter but because we kind of got a little lost traversing the area. My recommendation is if you are taking on this journey do not travel alone.
The reason I say this is because it’s a bit off the beaten track, you will traverse through a few communities though. The roads to get there thankfully were not too bad. Not to say there aren’t some areas you need to be on the lookout for. On the journey there also just reminds me of the lush land that exists on the island, we passed animals grazing on huge open properties, some even embracing the heat of the day.
On the day I visited though, to be honest, I really need to take a second trip there and soon! The reason for this is when I went it seemed closed or maybe I had not explored enough.
WHAT TO DO IN OXFORD, MANCHESTER?
So the area just before the river is filled with bars and a few cookshops. Next time you are there make sure you make a quick stop to either get some food or to grab a drink in one of the bars of your preference. Manchester sometimes seems to be such a ‘quiet’ parish but there are quite a few things you can do there. There are also a few other rivers there and it is now my goal to try and find and visit them all. Are you joining me on these adventures??

Upon visiting the river what I realized is that quite a few people…. I am assuming from within the area actually visit there to wash their vehicles, as I saw quite a few persons washing their cars. It is quite a long river with quite a few spots and areas for you to stop and swim, with even little falls as well.
Now when I saw the water I wasn’t able to see the ground so I didn’t chance it, being that I am not a great swimmer…(YET) all about manifestations lol. From observation though I could see that some areas were way deeper than others and the water I must add was so nice and cold especially coming out of the heat of the sun!
