12A Victoria Bed and Breakfast in Mandeville

12A Victoria Bed and Breakfast/JamGolia Place Mandeville is located in the nice cool parish of Manchester. I would definitely say it’s a lovely, lovely bed and breakfast as for me, I love somewhere that is quiet and peaceful and I can say that this bed and breakfast was just that. The first thing that met my eye when I got on the property was the gorgeous pristine lawn that looked untouched, I didn’t even want to walk on it😂. The property has a dining room area, pool, and lounge area.

COVID 19 PROTOCOL

Upon arrival, we of course acknowledged COVID protocols and sanitized our hands before entering the building and temperature checked before we even entered the compound. Also once you are moving around the property you have to ensure that you are wearing your mask at all times.

THE ROOM

The room upon arrival was clean and well put together, you can check out the YouTube video to see the interior. It had a nice quaint minimalistic look. If you know me I really have been feeling that minimalistic vibe since last year because I am too much of a hoarder. I really wish I had a better photo of the bathroom, but you can see it in this YouTube video, and man I was in love with it!

FOOD
12A Victoria Bed and Breakfast
Mackerel Rundown

At 12A Victoria Bed and Breakfast Manchester Jamaica the breakfast options that were available at the time I went were your regular Jamaican breakfast such as Salt Mackerel Rundown called “Run Dung’, Callalloo and Ackee and Saltfish. Maybe there are other options available on other days. What I also do know is that they do a Brunch on Sundays, so you can definitely go there one of these weekends.

Remember it is a bed and breakfast so anything additional comes at a cost. The flavors were quite good though. I personally didn’t each much though because there was a little mess up with my order so I just took whatever they had ready. The customer service was good though as they actually offered to go and make what I wanted, I just didn’t really want to put them through that.

I believe they do offer lunch and dinner options along with happy hour but those are all at additional costs. However, I am not sure if with the whole COVID situation all those are available. I do know the brunch is though.

STAFF

The staff at 12A Victoria Bed and Breakfast were good. It wasn’t’ anything special but it was acceptable. On arrival, if you get there and no one is at the front desk then there is a bell you can ring for some assistance. It isn’t a huge establishment so I could understand if someone wasn’t at the desk 24/7 however they made sure to make themselves available when you do want some help.
