I know this is starting a bit late but today was the 1st official lock-down week for my parish, which is St. Catherine, Jamaica. I already had put necessary plans in place such as grocery shopping etc., so thankfully I didn’t have to go to the supermarket today as the lines were crazy!! I will try to remember to post my quarantine outfit of the day as well as any meals if I cook along with the recipes if needed.
So I am starting here as my DAY 1.

DAY 1 15/04/2020

Jamaica – 125 Cases – 5 Deaths – 21 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

Today started off bad because the first day of lockdown and my phone charger decided to partially kick the bucket. To be honest, staying home was never an issue for me, yes I love going out, that how I can blog and write about my experiences but at the same time, I can be a homebody. I was bummed today because I was supposed to do a small photo-shoot so I had taken the time off from work already. Only to hear late last night that from 5 am today – 5 am next Tuesday I can’t leave my home unless it is necessary.

I don’t really have that of an exciting life anyway, so today was really nothing big. I have been working from home since 2016 so I really don’t have much of an issue adjusting just yet. I woke up like 11 am because I was up all night working on the blog. Then after that, I spent some quality time with my daughter, we sang, we went to the yard to play she danced and I cooked dinner afterward and we ate. She danced some more, had a bath and now she is in bed which means more time for me to do whatever work I need to get done.

As I write this it is now 9:44 pm and I need to go to sleep as I have an early day tomorrow, but I know I have other things to do first. Work starts at 4:50 am. I promise tomorrow’s post will be more detailed, the only thing is most of my days are just work. šŸ˜’

DAY 2 16/04/2020

Jamaica – 143 Cases – 5 Deaths – 21 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

Honestly not much to record about today. Did my regular, was up by 4:30 am started working around 4:50, and finished working at about 10 pm. What I have learned today though is that during this time sometimes you can either be closer to friends or more distant. It is important through these times to keep the connections with the people closest to you and to value each and every person in your life. After hearing today that the number of cases had increased yet again this time by 18 persons I see just how this virus is moving around. I wish sometimes people would just see the seriousness of the situation and times and just follow the protocols given to try and contain the illness. Maybe I play too many video games but when I think Corona the game resident evil comes to mind…lol

Other than that today was really a long workday between classes, working on the blog site, and other activities I have been working on. I was always afraid of starting a blog, I am now proud of myself for doing it, especially at a time like now I think it’s4:30 am great. ‘Nothing happens before its time’, is something my mother always told me. If only anyone knew I miss her dearly Throughout the day though I still made sure to spend the quality time with my daughter as it is very important to me that I try to set that time aside for her in these formative years. I didn’t sleep much last night and I am not sure what tonight will bring. Tomorrow though is another 4:30 am morning so I best prepare….until tomorrow…MG out!

DAY 3 17/04/2020

Jamaica – 163 Cases – 5 Deaths – 25 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

So 20 new cases today as COVID continues to spread across the island. I am not sure what to expect of it so I am just staying home as requested and I suggest everyone do the same. It spreads too easy so its best to try and contain it, but man that seems to be a task!

Not much to report on for today though, it was a work-filled day. I pretty much did lessons all day, since in quarantine I decided to do more hours than I usually do which has been crazy. I also finally tried TikTok. If persons know me they know I love dancing!! I might not be able to dance well but I love it! You can check it out @mons3089. I did it just to dance because I have such a passion but no opportunity to dance.

Tomorrow is Saturday, I still have work again but looking forward to Sunday where I can rest up a bit and work on other ventures I am planning. Have a great night!

DAY 4 18/04/2020

Jamaica – 173 Cases – 5 Deaths – 25 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

So a few more new cases here. Still home….It has been ok, being home has just had me working like crazy and doing overtime since I am in the house. I don’t usually work on the weekends however I decided to, I do however still take consultations on the weekends to help people with their online job search. (PS I am not a recruiter)

Today was literally work all day so I am looking forward to tomorrow as it’s the day I use to catch up on the sleep I lost during the week. There was also an interesting question and answer live conversation on Instagram with Mr. Tufton and Spice. It really answered some questions that I am sure many persons were concerned about.

I hope everyone is staying safe and practicing social distancing. Have a great Night, See you tomorrow!

DAY 5 19/04/2020

Jamaica – 193 Cases – 5 Deaths – 27 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

Well, the numbers are still going up. The more I write it is the more I realize that my life really is not that exciting while I am home..lol well I will totally fix that, I cooked today though so that was good. I made coconut curry chicken, it was great, I think it was the best I have ever done it and I didn’t even get to capture the moment. Though I am home, being here has not really affected me yet, I just don’t like the fact that should I choose to go on the road..I can’t.

So one thing to learn about me is that I laugh A LOT, and I type as if I am speaking. Working on keeping my posts as authentic as possible. I am excited about some stuff I am putting in place for the next few months. I encourage persons who are home now to just take the time and do the things they didn’t get the chance to do. Tomorrow is back to crazy work hours. Again…since I am home might as well. Looking forward to sharing more with you guys tomorrow. Remember to subscribe and share! Love you all!

DAY 6 20/04/2020

Jamaica – 223 Cases – 5 Deaths – 27 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

At this point, I am wondering if I should continue posting the numbers as they continue to increase. I am just over it… Just doing my part and staying in and practicing social distancing…(by not going out at all) I hope people are starting to see the importance of doing these things at this point.

As for my day, same old same old, not much to report on just worked (as usual) between classes and new material, and I was starting to get attached to my Nintendo switch again. Then I remember I have A LOT of work to do then I put it down.

My memory sucks I should have been posting pics of things I cook, as you know I love cooking but just been caught up with other stuff, so don’t kill me just yet, promise more coming soon! have a great night!

DAY 7 21/04/2020

Jamaica – 233 Cases – 6 Deaths – 27 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

So I totally fell asleep on day 7 last night. So it’s is a little late. So of course cases have increased and where I live the curfew has been extended. Right now I just want to jump into a river and stay there all day…sigh. Not much to share today.

DAY 8 22/04/2020

Jamaica – 252 Cases – 6 Deaths – 28 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

Cases still on the rise, are people starting to listen and take heed? Well I have been indoor so not much of a diary to make but very excited about all the things coming forward in my blog next month, been putting things into place and I hope everyone will be excited about it and look forward to it.

Since being home I have decided to take some more things more seriously. I definitely need to start working out again as I had been delinquent for a bit. I also plan to cook a little more, once I get the time as well as try to connect more with friends and family as I had always had a communication problem when it comes to that, but never in my relationships…hmmm that’s odd.

Today while doing a lesson a student shared such a touching story with me which I have to say really made me have a different outlook on certain things and makes me grateful for life, friends, and family even more. Take the time to relax, unwind, learn and grow.

Have a great night my loves!

DAY 9 23/04/2020

Jamaica – 257 Cases – 7 Deaths – 28 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

Ok, so small increase in terms of cases today. It was a real capacity building day for me. The sad thing though is that a little 4 year old lost his life today due to the virus.

This week workwise has been one of the most challenging. I am grateful for it BUT I felt like this week they decided to give me some difficult students who were sucking out all my energy. I am grateful for the ones I have though that makes me really enjoy what I do.

I know these updates have been a little boring lately due to the crazy work hours but all work in progress. Looking forward to some great things to come. I have been working on figuring out great content for people who subscribe to the blog, also coming up with contests really soon.

What do you want for a giveaway?

Have a great night!

DAY 13 27/04/2020

Jamaica – 364 Cases – 7 Deaths – 29 Recoveries (according to Ministry of Health and Wellness)

The cases have been increasing still there was an addition of 14 new cases today. The view is now that many persons within the island will get infected. It is just a matter of managing the situation. The question is can it really be managed here?

Anyway, on a different note, today was supposedly a day off but I don’t think those are allowed at my age lol. See its 12:50am and I am still wide awake. I just finished working on some more things for the website. I am excited about May and the Mayhem that will begin. Back to classes tomorrow but as I said I was going back to cutting down a bit so going to workout more and work on me some more and spend time with my heartstring.

I just realized I haven’t been out of my home for anything at all in exactly 3 weeks, but I really was home before that from in March just went for groceries on that day 3 weeks ago and don’t think I want to really go anywhere. I figure there is going to be the day soon where I’ll need to get more groceries, or maybe I use one of those online services. I am just so anti-road right about now till this whole thing is under control. Hope you are all staying safe!

DAY 14 28/04/2020
